Directions & Camping

Directions from New Bern / US 17:

Take NC 55 into Bayboro. Just past the Pamlico County Courthouse, turn left on NC-304. Access for the Long Route is 1500 feet on your right, access for the Short Route is 2 miles up on your right.

Leave your boat(s) at the course access point of your choice (Long or Short Route) - then proceed to the Pamlico Paddle check-in at the campground on Lynches Beach Loop Road.

Shuttle transportation will be provided back to the access points. All participants will need to be at the launch site no later than 10AM on October 20, 2007.

Directions to the Rivers Edge Family Campground - site for the Pamlico Paddle check-in and campground area for paddlers that would like to camp:

Take Highway 55 East from New Bern to Bayboro, turn left on Highway 304, go 4 miles and turn right onto Lynch's Beach Loop Road, go 1/2 mile and turn right on Tempe Gut Road.
